Re: Any folks there?
Sat, April 9, 2005 - 4:34 PMThough my reply is a bit late. Well We can talk about all possible nexus among learning english language. I have been involved in the learning process for along time. I came to kno one basic principle that Language is an evolutionary process. You can't say that you can teach your student the whole Language in one year or few months. Well! we can have debate on the four parts Writing, Reading, Listening, and Speaking of language in detail but I would like to know are you still interested to talk about on this topic? -

Re: Any folks there?
Sun, May 15, 2005 - 3:00 PMHi there: I'm very interested in discussing the topics you mentioned. I grew-up in the USA and now live (11 years) in South America. Eventhough I never studied to become an English Teacher things just worked out that way and I now have 10 years of experience with ELL students. I am currently beginning an English Workshop that makes learning more accessible to lower-income families. I've also developed a workshop that prepares children to learn English and enjoy it so that they, themselves seek to learn more. The methods I've developed have purely evolved from the need to earn an honest living and experience the satisfaction of seeing how my students learn and realize the infinite possiblities they have by being able to understand a second language. I am glad to hear that you too believe learning a language is an evolutionary process. In my country there are several "schools" that teach English but their attention grabber is the fact that they promise their students that in 6 to 9 months they will be speaking English. Truth is I could go on and on about this topic but I'd prefer to know if we could somehow get in touch and speak about it instead of leaving postings.
